Text Talk
Funded to Marie Lloyd/ Lomira Elementary
Text Talk is a program that combines quality trade book read alouds with explicit vocabulary instruction to help in building reading comprehension skills. Text Talk is built to provide both new and experienced teachers the tools to improve and refine classroom read aloud practices. The 40 books come with adhesive text talk notes that maximize instruction and engagement during read aloud time. It also comes with a professional guide and implementation DVD to help us build our professional knowledge in helping get the most out of our interactive reading time with students. Text Talk takes advantage of the read aloud experience to help develop the complex and demanding aspects of a child's literacy growth. Text Talk also has a home component to help guide parents in their child's literacy growth.
